A little bit about our staff...
At Joyful Noise, your child's safety is of utmost importance! All employees are carefully screened and background checked before becoming a part of our center. To further ensure students wellbeing, and in accordance with Michigan licensing regulations, all employees are currently certified in cpr and first aid, and trained in universal precautions. Caregivers are also a part of regular health screening, such as TB (Tuberculosis) testing.Each year in March, Joyful Noise sponsors the training of all teachers and caregivers at the MiAEYC Early Childhood Conference in Grand Rapids. Read about this year's conference on the MIAEYC Official Website! It is a great way for our teachers to continue their experience and education, and a great way to infuse inspiration into the school year. During this two day period Joyful Noise may be closed. Please check our calendar online and notices sent home for more information regarding the conference.
Joyful Noise has also provided scholarships for our teachers through the T.E.A.C.H program. Participating in this program has served our community and also helped improve the quality of our center by increasing the education level of our teachers.
Our center is always focused on providing opportunities for our teachers to grow, and offering resources to aid in that growth. An example of a resource and on site training module that we use at Joyful Noise is the program "Conscious Discipline" by Dr. Becky Baily. It is a wonderful program and the method of discipline that we prefer to use at Joyful Noise. We highly recommend visiting the website and implementing the values of the conscious discipline method at home! Also find this link in our parent resources library.
Joyful Noise will continue to strive for excellence by providing consistent opportunities for our staff to cultivate their teaching talents. Our skilled and educated caregivers will maintain their level of excellence and persist with further development, so that we may offer you and your child the highest quality of early childhood education and care.
